12th Annual Sylvania Franciscan Gala

This year's Gala theme is "Dancing Under the Stars."  Join us for this once-a-year opportunity to honor, celebrate and support the diverse ministries of the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio.  In addition to scrumptious food and a variety of auction items including a hockey jersey signed by Gordie Howe, "Mr. Hockey" himself, this year's event will feature live music by KGB, a Toledo-based band that plays the kind of Motown music guaranteed to get you out of your seat and out on the floor dancing.  

The Gala will begin with Mass at 5 p.m. in Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel where we will honor this year's St. Francis Award recipient, and this year's St. Clare Award recipient.  From there, we move to the Franciscan Center for food, drinks and conversation while you peruse a wide array of auction items, all sold to support the hard work of the Sylvania Franciscan Sisters who have dedicated their lives to "living the Gospel in joyful servanthood among all people."

In between, KGB will entertain you with a sampling of Motown hits, three-part harmonies and dance steps that will get you up and on your feet.  A tribute will be given to the St. Francis and St. Clare Award recipients and the evening will culminate with dessert, coffee and after dinner drinks while the silent auction is brought to a close.
