Sister Fidelis Rubbo’s missionary service involves her in whatever the needs of the people are at the time. Sister Fidelis formed with the Haitians in the area, a group called Kretyen Pwogre Ansanm (Christians Progress Together) to work on projects such as cisterns for collecting rainwater, micro-crediting to obtain small loans to the poor, job training, feeding the malnourished and providing medicine to the clinics to care for the sick. Pictured above are recipients of Sister Fidelis’ Ministry.
Each year, Sister Fidelis incorporates new projects to assist the needs of the people in Haiti. It is a fulfillment of the mission of the Sisters of St. Francis who commit themselves to works that reverence human dignity, embrace the poor and marginalized and respect the gift of all creation.
